Kollicoat® MAE 30 DP is reliable, high-performance film coating based on methacrylic aid-ethyl acrylate copolymer (1:1), designed specifically for enteric tablet coating. Many APIs degrade in the acidic environment of the stomach or irritate its lining. But the smart polymers in Kollicoat® MAE shield active ingredients from aggressive gastric juice and only dissolve once in the intestine – making sure the API is released in precisely the right place. MAE 30 DP is an aqueous dispersion with a solids content of 30 percent. This product offers robust protection, while facilitating more simple and cost-effective production processes.
