Kollidon 17 PF

Kollidon 17 PF is a low molecular weight (2000-3000 AMU), pyrogen-free, white powder Povidone which is polymerized and spray dried. It is known to improve film adhesiveness. Because of its solubility in water and in many organic solvents, its high binding power and ability to form complexes, soluble polyvinylpyrrolidone occupies a special position among the synthetic colloids.Kollidon 17 PF is intended for the use in pareneral pharmaceutical formulation and thus tested for bacterial endotoxins. It is also suitable to be used assolubilising agents, dispersants and crystallization inhibitor particularly for injectables. These properties are of particular interest for antibiotics in solution or in lyophilized powder form. It comes with a special PeroXeal packaging , which minimises peroxide formation.
