Kollisolv® PEG 300 is a colorless and tasteless liquid at room temperature. It is readily soluble in water, ethanol, acetone, glycols and chloroform and insoluble in ether, paraffin, oils and fats. Versatile, water-miscible vehicle used as solvent and solubilizing agent for active substances and excipients in liquid and semisolid preparation. Can be paired with BASF surfactants (for example Kolliphor® RH 40) to promote solubilization of poorly water-soluble APIs. Can also be used as a chemical intermediate in drug formulation.
