Kollicoat MAE Grades are copolymers derived from methacrylic acid / ethyl acrylate and used as film former in pharmaceutical industry for the production of enteric coatings for solid dosage form. The ratio of the components in copolymer is roughly 1:1. The Kollicoat MAE grades have an anionic character. The average molecular weight is of the order of 250,000.
